HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 72 Gardena Farms ORDINANCE NO. 72 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA, CLOSING, VACATING AND ABANDONING ALL THOSE ROADS, STREETS, ALLEYS, EASEMENTS AND PARKS DELINEATED ON THAT PORTION OF GARDENA FARMS, AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 6, PAGES 23 AND 24, PUBLIC RECORDS OF SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, LYING AND BEING WITHIN THE AREA NOW ENCOMPASSED IN THE PLAT OF WINTER SPRINGS, UNIT 2, VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF, RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 16, PAGE 82, SEMINOLE COUNTY PUBLIC RECORDS. WHEREAS, a Petition was filed with the Village Council of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, to close, vacate and abandon those roads, streets, alleys, easements and parks in the Village of North Orlando, Florida, described as follows: All those roads, streets, alleys, easements and parks delineated on that portion of GARDENA FARMS, as recorded in Plat Book 6, pages 23 and 24, Public Records of Seminole County, Florida, lying and being within the area now encompassed in the Plat of Winter Springs, Unit 2, Village of North Orlando, Seminole County, Florida, according to the plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 16, page 82, Seminole County Public Records; and WHEREAS, no one appeared before the Village Council in opposition to same, and the Village Council finding that the closing, vacating and abandoning of said roads, streets, alleys, easements and parks will not operate to the detriment of the Village or public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the following described roads, streets, alleys, easements and parks in the Village of North Orlando, Florida, to-wit: All those roads, streets, alleys, easements and parks delineated on that portion of GARDENA FARMS, as recorded in Plat Book 6, pages 23 and 24, Public Records of Seminole County, Florida, lying and being within the area now encompassed in the Plat of Winter Springs, Unit 2, Village of North Orlando, Seminole County, Florida, according to the plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 16, page 82, Seminole County Public Records; be and the same are closed, vacated and abandoned as of this date and the Village Council renounces any rights in the said roads, streets, alleys, easements and parks as abandoned. SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of June, A.D. 1972.
