HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 71 Mayor Allowance ORDINANCE NO. 71 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA, INCREASING ALLOWANCE FOR EXPENSES NATURALLY AND NECESSARILY, 'INCURRED BY THE HOLDER OF THE OFFICE OF MAYOR OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA; ALLOWING ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) PER MONTH FOR THE MAYOR; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; SEVERABILITY; AND EFFECTIVE DATES. WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, has examined the responsibilities of the office of mayor of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, and WHEREAS, it has been established that the amount of expense money allowed to the Mayor of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, is inadequate; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, to increase the expense money to be issued to the Mayor of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, NOW, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: 1) That the Mayor of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, shall be paid the sum of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) per month from the Village Treasurery of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, to cover the expenditures, naturally and necessarily incurred by the holder of the office of mayor. 2) That this expense allowance increase shall take effect on March 1, 1972. 3) That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith shall be, and the same are hereby repealed. 4) If any Section or portion of Section or Subsection of this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutionil. it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or portion of a Section or Sub- section or part of this Ordinance. 5) This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its final passage and adoption.
