ORDINANCE NO. 69
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO,
FLORIDA, ADOPTING CHAPTER 316, FLORIDA STATUTES,
KNOWN AS "FLORIDA UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL LAW"
AS THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
ORLANDO, FLORIDA; PROVIDING PENALTIES, CONFLICTS,
AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 316, Florida Statutes, and
known as the "Florida Uniform Traffic Control Law", be and the
same is hereby adopted as the Traffic Code of the Village of
North Orlando, Florida, and, in accord with the requirements of
Section 6 of Chapter 71-135, Laws of Florida, 1971, the matters
and contents therein are made a part of this Ordinance by
reference in haec verba as fully and completely as if set forth
herein, and that copies of said law shall remain on file in the
office of the Village Clerk and shall be available for public
inspection and use.
SECTION 2: Whenever in this Ordinance of the Village
of North Orlando, Florida, any act is prohibited or is made or
declared to be unlawful or an offense, or whenever in this
Ordinance the doing of any act is required or the failure to do
any act is declared to be unlawful, the violation of any such
provision of this Ordinance shall be punished in accordance
with the Charter by a fine not exceeding Three Hundred Dollars
($300.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding sixty (60)
days, or by both such fine and imprisonment at the discretion
of the Municipal Judge. Each day any violation of any provision
of this Ordinance shall continue, such violation shall constitute
a separate offense.
SECTION 3: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect
January 1, 1972.
