ORDINANCE NO. 63
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO,
FLORIDA, TO EXTEND ITS TERRITORIAL AND MUNI-
CIPAL LIMITS TO ANNEX LANDS SITUATE AND BEING
IN SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND DESCRIBED
BELOW, WHICH SAID LANDS ARE LYING WITHIN TWO
MILES OF THE PRESENT BOUNDARIES OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH ORLANDO AND WITHIN SEMINOLE COUNTY;
ANNEXING SAME TO THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO,
FLORIDA; REDEFINING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO TO INCLUDE SAID LANDS
WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH ORLANDO; TO INCLUDE THE ANNEXATIONS HEREIN
ON THE NORTH ORLANDO MAP; SEVERABILITY; EFFECTIVE
DATE; AND CONFLICTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of North
Florida, has heretofore announced its intention by
Ordinance No. 61 to annex certain lands lying within two miles
of the present boundaries of the Village of North Orlando,
Florida; and
WHEREAS, due notice of the anticipated adoption of this
ordinance was given by ttie Village of North Orlando, Florida, by
publication in The Sanford Herald each week for four consecutive
weeks, and posting in accordance with the requirements of the
Village Charter of the Village of North Orlando, Florida; and
WHEREAS, said tracts of land lie in Seminole County,
Florida, and are specifically described in this Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, no action is pending staying annexation of
said lands; and
WHEREAS, objections to such annexation have been con-
idered and public hearings held, and it appearing in the best
interest of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, to annex said
properties subject to specific conditions and restrictions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE
COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA:
SECTION I. ANNEXATION. That the Village of North
Orlando, Florida, does herewith and hereby annex those certain
tracts of land lying in Seminole County, Florida, and more
particularly described as follows, to-wit:
PARCEL "A": Lots 17 and 18, Block B, Oak Grove
Park, according to the plat thereof as recorded
in Plat Book 7, Page 83 of the Public Records of
Seminole County, Florida, less R/W for U.S. 17/92
and all that part of lots 15 and 16 of said Block B,
lying East of the West line of Lot 21, Block C, of
D. R. Mitchell's survey of the Levy Grant, accord-
ing to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 1,
Page 5, of the Public Records of Seminole County,
Floridai ALSO all that part of said Lot 21, Block
C. of D. R. Mitchell's survey of the Levy Grant,
lying Easterly of said Oak Grove Park and
Southerly of Shepard Road and lying Northerly of a
line described as follows: Begin at the NE corner
of Lot 12, Block B, of said Oak Grove Park, thence
run S86o35'15.5" E 1928.369 feet to a point on
the Easterly line of said Lot 21, Block C, D. R.
Mitchell's survey of the Levy Grant, said point
being 1155.005 feet S5o57'13" W from the Southerly
R/W line Shepard Road, subject to Florida Power
Corporation's 175 feet Easement and containing
exactly 50 acres.
PARCEL "B": Lot 12, Block B, Oak Grove Park, according
to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 7,Page 83,
of the Public Records of Seminole County,Florida,less
right-of-way for U.S. 17/92; and the North 385 feet of
the East 225 feet of Lot 15, and Lot 24, less the East
25 feet of the South 200 feet thereof, of Entzminger
Farms Addition No.3, according to the plat thereof,
as recorded in Plat Book 6, Page 27, of the Public
Records of Seminole County, Florida; also that part
of Lot 21, Block C, D. R. Mitchell's Survey of the
Levy Grant, according to the plat thereof as re-
corded in Plat Book 1, Page 5, of the Public Records
of Seminole County, Florida, described as: Begin at
the Northeast Corner Lot 12, Block B, said Oak Grove
Park, thence run S4o44' W 1063.719 feet to the South-
west corner of said Lot 21, thence run N83o21'25"
E 1950.789 feet to the Southeast corner of said
Lot 21, thence run N5o57'13" E 722.942 feet to a
point 1155.005 feet S5o57'13" W from the inter-
section of the East line of said Lot 21 with the
Southerly right-of-way line of Shephard Road,
thence run N86o35'15.5" W 1928.369 feet to the point
of beginning, subject to Florida Power Corporation's
175 feet easement and containing exactly 50.286
acres, less the following: Lot 12 and Lots 17 and
18 lying West of the Northerly projection of the
East property line of Lots 12 through 16, Block B,
Oak Grove Park, as recorded in Plat Book 7, Page 83
of the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida.
SECTION II. REDEFINING LIMITS BY DECLARATION. That
the corporate limits of the Village of North Orlando Florida,
be and it is hereby and herewith redefined so as to include
the hereinbefore described property.
SECTION III. SEVERABILITY. If any Section or portion
of Section or Subsection of this Ordinance proves to be invalid,
unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invali-
date or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other
Section or portion of a Section or Subsection or part of this
Ordinance.
SECTION IV. EFFECTIVE DATE. That this Ordinance shall
take effect immediately upon its final passage and adoption.
SECTION V. CONFLICTS. That all Ordinances or parts
of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
