HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 48 Minimum Footage ORDINANCE NO. 48 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 44 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA, PASSED AND ADOPTED January 8 1968 PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE OF MINIMUM FOOTAGE WITHIN THE ZONING CLASSI- FICATION R-1, REPEALING THE PREVIOUS MINI- MUM FOOTAGE CLASSIFICATION, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, has held a Public Hearing on the 28th day of April, 1969, pertaining to a proposed zoning ordinance amendment, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the minimum footage required by the Zoning Ordinance should be amended, and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Village of North Orlando, to incorporate a new minimum footage provision within the zoning classification of R-1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA: Section 1: Section 44.25 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of North Orlando shall list 6,000 square feet as minimum lot area for a lot within the R-1 Classification. Section 2: Section 44.27 shall be amended to include the following terminology: The minimum lot depth shall not be less than 100 feet, and the minimum lot width shall not be less than 60 feet for any R-1 Residential lot and there shall be no single family dwellings built or constructed on any lots within the R-1 Zoning District, having less than a width of 60 feet and a depth less than 100 feet. Section 3: Section 44.41 shall be amended to show the square footage of the R-1 Classification as 6,000 square feet. Section 4: Conflicts - That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 5: Effective Date- this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. READ FIRST READING this 5th day of May, 1969.
