ORDINANCE NO. 40 A
AN ORDINANCE FIXING FEES IN RELATION TO THE GRANTING
OF A CITY OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TO ANY PERSON, PERSONS,
PARTNERSHIP, AND/OR CORPORATION AS A CONDITION TO
ENGAGING IN ANY BUSINESS, PROFESSION OR OCCUPATION
WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO:
CREATING A SCHEDULE OF CLASSIFICATIONS OF OCCUPATIONS
REQUIRED TO BE LICENSED: PROVIDING THAT THE SHORT
TITLE OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE "CITY OCCUPATIONAL
LICENSE FEE SCHEDULEtt: PROVIDING FOR PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
ORLANDO, FLORIDA:
1. That the schedule of fees which is attached hereto
and by reference made a part hereof, and the classifications of
the various occupations, businesses, or professions, as contained
in said fee schedule, be and the same are hereby adopted as the
amounts required to procure occupational licenses in the Village
of North Orlando in accordance with the classification set out
therein.
2. That every person engaged in or managing any busi-
ness, profession or occupation referred to in the aforementioned
schedule of fees and as classified therein shall on or before
October 1 of each year, and always before engaging in any business ,
profession or occupation, pay to the Village of North Orlando the
occupational license fee provided for in the fee schedule for
each separate location in the City. No license shall be issued
for more than one year, nor for less than one year, except, that
after April 1 of each year a one-half year occupational license
may be secured for any classified or unclassified occupation,
business or profession upon payment to the Village Tax Collector
of I of the cost of a full year's license, which license is sub-
ject to the same terms and provisions set forth in this ordinance
as is a license for the full term.
3. The short title of this ordinance shall be "City
Occupational License Fee Schedule".
4. All licenses shall be transferable, with the approv-
al of the Village Tax Collector, with the business for which the
same were issued, when there is a bona fide sale or transfer of
the property used and employed in the business as stock in trade.
The original license must be surrendered to and filed with the
Village Tax Collector and a fee of One Dollar ($1.00) paid, at
the time of the application for such transfer and such transfer
when approved shall be of the same force and effect as the orig-
inal license.
5. Any license issued under the provisions of this
chapter may be revoked upon five days notice by the Village Tax
Collector, when a business other than that designated in the
license is conducted or operated, or where any business is con-
ducted in violation of this Code or any other city ordinances or
laws of the State.
6. Any person violating the provisions of this Ordi-
nance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon being
convicted thereof, shall be fined a sum not exceeding Two Hundred
Dollars ($200.00) or by imprisonment not exceeding 60 days, or by
both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is com-
mitted, or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate
offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.

Doctors, Medical, Physicians and Surgeons,
Chemist-analytical, Chiropractors, Chiropo-
dist, Oculists, Optometrists, Osteopaths,
Veterinary or Veterinary Surgeon

7. All existing Ordinances of the Village of North
Orlando, Florida, are hereby repealed insofar as they may be in-
consistent with the provisions of this Ordinance.
8. It is the intention of the Village Council that each
separate provision of this Ordinance shall be deemed independent
of all other provisions herein, and it is further intended that
if any provisions of this ordinance be declared invalid, all I
other provisions thereof shall remain valid and enforceable, and I
this Ordinance shall be construed as though such invalid section
were not included herein.
9. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
