BE IT ORDAINED that the Village Council of North Orlando, Florida,
shall hereby annex into its territorial limits the following
described property:

All of that part of Lot 55, Block "D" of the D.R. Hitchell
Survey of the Hoses 2. Ievy Gr;mt, [)s recorded in Plat
Book 1, Page 5, of the Public records of Sp;minole County,
Florida; Less the North 15 chains and also less a parcel
of land in the Southwest corner of said Tract 55, more
particulartY described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Lot 55; Thence

Section 3. TITLE. This ordinance shall be referred to u~
the .1Ulimal Control and Protection Ordinance of Seminole County,
Florida.
Section 4. DEFINITIONS. In construing this ordinance:
(a) "Board" shall mean the Board of County co;:uni~wion-
crt: of Seminole County! Florida;
(b) "Seminole County" shall ffiCiln the unincorpol"CltcJ
areas of Seminole County, a politic~l subdivision of the state ~f
Florida, and those incorporated are,as of Seminole County Hhich
shall become governed b~ this ordinance in accordance with sec-
tion 2 above._
(c) -J\nimal," unless othenlisc. clearly requi.red by the:
context, shall mean every living, non-human creature, other th~JJ)
livest;ock, s\'linf'!, poultry, horses, and other creatures norll\<llly

"l'icrce animal" shall mean any dangerolls clllimal OJ:
rabies-susceptible animal ,...hich has for no observable looti vc
exhibi ted aggressive or threatening tendencies to\oJilnh: hlUn~n:; or
other animals.
(h) "Vicious anima:1," shall mean any dangero\ls animitl (lJ
rabies-susceptible' animal \\'hich has, for illlY motive othel: than f 0J
self-defense, caused bodily harm to humans or other animnls.
(i) "Animal'at large" shull mean any animal off it~
owner's 'property 'and not under restraint.
(j) "Animal in distress" shall mean any animal found
abandoned, neglected, cruelly treated, injured or wounded,

tether or leash, contrpl19d by a competent yerson and obedient to
