HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 07 Offenses/Property ,-., I r- I i \~. ,....., } r I \ ~.,,' \.. -- ORDINANCE # 7 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO OFFENSES AGAINST PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PROPERTY; TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED by the Village Council of the Village of North Orlando, Florida: Section 1. Any person guilty of desecrating or despoiling any cemetery, church, or any other public property set apart for public uses or held for ben- evolent Or charitable purposes, or who shall in any way deface or post bills upon any priv:ate property, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon convic- tion, be ptlnished as hereinafter provided in this Ordinance. Section 2. Whoever commits larceny by stealing the property of another, any money, goods or cattels, or any bank notes, bonds, promissory notes, bill of exchange, or other bill, order or certificate, or any book of account for or concernin money or goods due or to become due, or to be delivei:.ed, or any deed of writing containing a conveyance of land, or any other valuable contract in force, or any writ, process or public record, the value of which shall not exceed fifty . dollars with the intention to then and there permanently deprive th-e owner of the use and possession thereof shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction, be punished as hereinafter provided in this Ordinance. Section 3. Any person who shall trespass in or upon the premises of anothel for the purpose of committing any crime in violation of the laws of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, shall be, upon conviction, punished as hereinafter pro- vided in this Ordinance. Section 4. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to re- move or cause to be removed from any real property within the Village of North Orlando, Florida, any soil, sub-soil, rock, sand, trees or shrubbery; provided, however this provision shall not be applicable to the owner of any such real pro- perty, nor to any person, firm or corporation removing said soil, sub-sbil, rock, sand, trees or shrubbery with the written consent of the owner of the real property in the Village of North Orlando, Florida, any soil, sub- soil, rock, sand, trees or shrubbery, such person, firm;or corporation shall first file with the Mayor a written consent of the owner to such removal and obtain from the Mayor a written permit for such removal; upon conviction any person, firm, or corporation shall be punished as hereinafter provided in this Ordinance. Section 5. It shall be unlawful for any person to place or throw or cause to be placed or thrown any paper, bottles or pieces thereof, cans, or any other kind of waste, glass ware, refuse or debris in or on any street, sidewalk, or alley, and in or on the bank of any canal, stream, lake, water course or pool within the boundaries of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, and shall be, upon conviction, punished as hereinafter provided in this Ordinance. Section $. Any person or persons violating the provisions of any of the provisions of any section of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00), or by imprisonment for , a period not exceeding sixty (60) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Municipal Court. ,--- ." Any requirement of reading this Ordinance on separate days. days be and the same is hereby dispensed with by the unanimous vote of the Village Councilmen of the Village of North U rlando, ,Florida. Section 8. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its ill", ..... passage and adoption by the Village Council of the Village of North Or- .' lando, Florida.
