ORDINANCE NO. 5

AN ORDINANCE DESCRIBING THE OFFENSE KNOWN AS DrsORDERL Y CONDUCT,
MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO BE GUILTY OF DISORDERLY CONDUCT WITHIN THE
VILLAGE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA, AND PRO-
YIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Village Council of the Village of North Orlando, Florida:
Section 1. Any person who shall willfully disturb the peace of others by violent,
tumultuous or offensive conduct or carriage, or who shall assist in making improper
noise, riot, disturbance, breach of peace, or diversion to a breach of peace within
the limits of the Village of North Orlando, Florida; all persons who shall collect in
bodies or crowds for unlawful purposes or any purpose to the annoyance or disturb-
ance of other persons; all persons engaged in other unlawful games or plays; all
persons who lodge in or are found at any time within or without buildings or on vacant
properties within the Village limits and not giving a good account of themselves; all
persons who are found in houses of ill fame or gaming houses; all persons who shall
willfully assault another in said Village or be engaged in or aid or abet any fight,
quarrel or other disturbance in said Village; waiting or seeking to obtain money or
valuable things from others by trick or fraud, or to assist or aid therein; all persons
who shall engage en any fraudulent scheme, device or trick to obtain money or other
valuable things in any place in said Village, or who shall aid or abet or in any manner
be concerned therein; all touts, ropers, steerers, or dappers, so-called, for any
gambling room or house, who shall ply or attempt to play their calling on any public
road in said Village; all persons found loitering about any improved or unimproved
property within the Village limits, or wandering about the road, either by night or
day, without any known lawful means of support or without being able to give a sat-
isfactory account of themselves; all persons who shall have or carry any pistol, knife,
dirk, knuckles, or other dangerous weapons concealed on or about their persons; all
persons who are known to be thieves, burglars, pickpockets, robbers or confidence
men, either by their own confession or otherwise, or by having been convicted of
larceny or other crime against the laws of the State or of any State of the United States
all persons who are found to be lounging in or prowling or loitering about any property,
improved or unimproved, in the Village limits, and who are unable to give a reason-
able excuse to be so found; and all persons found trespassing on any private property
without the owner's permission, shall be deemed guilty of disorderly conduct.
Section 2. Any person who shall permit persons of disorderly character to
assemble in his or her house within the Village limits shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor.
Section 3. Any person found in a state of intoxication in any public place, street,
or thoroughfare in the Village of North Orlando, Florida, shall be deemed guilty of
a misdemeanor.
Section 4. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to commit any of the

acts described and set out in Sections I, 2 and 3 of this ordinance.
Section 5. Any person, firm or corporation convicted of the violation of the
provisions of this Ordinance shall be fined in an amount not to exceed Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned in jail for a period of time not to exceed. sixty (60)

days, or be both fined and imprisoned, in the discretion of the presiding officer
of the Municipal Court.
Section 6. Any requirement of reading this Ordinance on separate days
be and the same is hereby dispensed with by the unanimous vote of the Village
Councilmen of the Village of North Orlando, Florida.

Section 7. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage
and adoption by the Village Council of the Village of Ncr th Orlando, Florida.
