Ladies or Gentlemen:
This Direct Pay Permit is issued to APT Tampa/Orlando, Inc. for the purpose of permitting the privilege
qf purchasing real property leases without the payment of Florida sales and use tax. to the lessor of the
property. The Florida Department Of Revenue has authorized the permit holder to self-accrue arid remit the
use tax directly to the Department. The basis for this authority is Section 212: 183(4), Florida Statutes,
which provides self-accrual authority for persons who lease real property from a number of independent
property owners who, apart from these real prop~ leases, are not required to be registered dealers.
A photocopy of this permit must be given to each lessor from whom the permit holder leases real property.
The lessor must maintain this permit in its records as documentation for not collecting sales tax from the
permit holder on its real property leases.
The location of the leased property, name of the lessor, the date the permit was given to lessor, and the
authorized signature must be completed before extending the pennit to the lessor.
