HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003 05 17 Nell Cohen Day liIO OFFICE OF THE MAYOR WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA WHEREAS, sixty years ago, as she began her career as an educator, Nell Cohen made the commitment to make a difference in the lives of children. She, in fact, has committed and dedicated her entire adult life to developing children academically. Socially, emotionally, and physically while, at all times, nurturing them with love and understanding; and WHEREAS, on May 17, 2003, the Central Florida Community will celebrate Mrs. Cohen's 60 years as an educator and the 35th anniversary of her true "labor oflove," the Park Maitland School; and WHEREAS, Over the past 35 years, thousands of students have graced the halls of Park Maitland with the love and support of Mrs. Cohen, her family, administrators, teachers, and staff, all of whom have shared in her "dream." NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOHN F. BUSH, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, do hereby proclaim Saturday, May 17, 2003, as -- NELL COHEN DAY -- in the City of Winter Springs, Florida, in recognition of her contributions to the Central Florida Community.
