WHEREAS, the accomplishments of exceptional individuals should always be noted; and
WHEREAS, this Proclamation recognizes a student athlete from Winter Springs High
School - the extraordinary Jen Forst - who has been a member of the "'All-
State Team" both in her Junior and Senior years; has been named '''Sen1inole
County's Player of the Year" again both in her Junior and Senior years; has
received the distinct honor of being named '''Athlete of the Year" at Winter
Springs High School; and
WHEREAS, most recently, Jen Forst has been named '''Central Florida's Player of the
Year" in which her exceptional skills and proficiency in basketball and
volleyball coupled with her athleticism and true sportsmanship has surpassed
all other contenders in Lake County, Orange County, Osceola County;
Seminole County, and V olusia County; and
WHEREAS, in addition to her incredible athletic abilities, Jen Forst is also a very gifted
student with approximately a 4.3 grade point average, and as a result of her
many accomplishments, efforts, and hard work, in the fall - Jen will grace the
University of South em Alabama on a full scholarship!
NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAUL P. PARTYKA, Mayor of the City of Winter Springs, hereby do
Proclaim Monday, May 13, 2002, as a Day of Recognition in honor of
