OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, in March of this year, the United States of America, along with her allies
launched war on Iraq in "Operation Iraqi Freedom." The objective of our military occupation of
Iraq was to free the world from terrorist groups and liberate the Iraqi people from a Tyrant's rule;
and
WHEREAS, in the City of Winter Springs and surrounding communities - all have men
and women that are serving in our great country's military in Iraq - and other parts of the world;
and
WHEREAS, military personnel serving abroad can be comforted by the knowledge that
their City, State, and Nation support them as they work to protect us from harm; and right here in
the City of Winter Springs, we want our troops to know that we are all very proud of our military
and that we thank them, and we fully support them as they risk their lives to protect us all.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOHN F. BUSH, by virtue of the authority vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, do hereby recognize and honor our
'" MILITARY HERO'S '"
and urge all citizens to join together and offer their support for our troops that risk their lives for
our freedom and the freedom of others.
