WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida recognize MS. JANET
ADAMS for her accomplishments in receiving the Teacher of the Year award for Keeth Elementary School.
WHEREAS, MS. JANET ADAMS has had twenty-eight years of teaching experience and it shows by the
exceptional job she does with her students! She has received a multitude of awards and honors including Finalist
for Elementary Math teacher of the Year in 2006, Seminole County Schools' Teacher of the Week from the
Orlando Sentinel in 2005, and School Board Recognition for professional development in language art in 2003.
Keeth Elementary Principal, Paul Senko, had the following to say about this extraordinary teacher: "When one
thinks of 'teacher leadership' Janet Adams comes to mind."
