WHEREAS, Diane Parker has taken a small group of citizens and businesses at the
Lake Mary Chamber, and with her expertise, has turned the organization into the Seminole
County Regional Chamber of Commerce, which is one of largest Chambers in Central
Florida; and
WHEREAS, Diane Parker has co-chaired Seminole Vision; adopted the SAW II
program from V olusia County for the Seminole County School Board which impacted more
than 18,000 students; and was one of the "Top 25 Women Who Mean Business" for both
1998 and 1999; and
WHEREAS, Diane Parker has always had a great passion for economic development in
Seminole County and has strived to build a community with vision and design, believing in
partnerships between government, business and education, in turn making Seminole County
what it is today; and
WHEREAS, Diane Parker has worked with thousands of businesses of various sizes
and with seventeen years of leading the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce,
she will always be known for her energy, relationship building, and for always getting the job
done.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOHN F. BUSH, Mayor of the City of Winter Springs, do
hereby Proclaim May 10th, 2007 as a special day honoring
