Mayor, City of Winter Springs

Dear Ma~bes:
Arts in April, a month-long event to promote the arts in Central Florida celebrates its fifth
year beginning April 1, 1993. This year the focus is on children, both as participants and
observers. To that end, all elementary-age children in Orange, Osceola and Seminole
Counties have been invited to submit artwork reflecting "Art in the City" to become a
part of a Children's Art Collection. One entry will be selected as the official 1993 Arts
in April poster. Fifty entries will be displayed in Orlando City Hall during the first ten
days of April and then forwarded to Guilin, Orlando's sister city in China, to be a part
of our children's art exchange program.
We will make all of the art work available to you for exhibits in your public buildings,
parks or businesses if you would like to display it or plan an arts event of your own.
I would ask that you adopt the attached resolution, or one similar, demonstrating your
support of the arts and return a copy to me at your earliest convenience.
If you have any questions, please call Donna Mollis, Arts in April Coordinator, at 246-
3528, or Brenda Robinson, 1993 Chairman, at 246-3103.
Sincerely,
~~~~
