SUBJECT: REQUEST OFFICIAL PROCLAMATION FOR 1982 ENGINEERS WEEK
The purpose of this letter is to bring to your attention the 1982
National Engineers Week and to again request your assistance in
obtaining a signed and sealed Proclamation from your governing
body.
As stated in the past, Engineers Week is celebrated allover our
land during the last week of February, to salute the profession
for its involvement in our nation's continued development.
This year's theme is "Engineers Pioneering America's Revitalization".
During this special week, outstanding engineers are honored and
engineering advances put on public display throughout the country.
On behalf of the Engineers Week Committee of the Florida Chapter and
in commemoration and honor of the engineering profession, I respect-
fully request the attached Proclamation and one copy be properly exe-
cuted. Please return one with gold Seal and ribbons for use on pub-
lic display.
The engineers also respectfully request that a copy of your Proclama-
tion be displayed prominently during Engineers Week and that it be in-
cluded in local press coverage wherever possible. Our official copy
will be on display at the Engineering Fair at the University of Central
Florida, February 26 and 27, and at the Engineers Week Banquet at Lord
Chumley's, Route 436, Altamonte Springs, the evening of February 27, 1982.
The Engineers Week Planning Committee expresses their thanks for your
efforts in having the Proclamation adopted and executed.
