PROCLAMATION
A PROCLAMATION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA,
PROCLAIMING THURSDAY, MAY 21, 1981, YOUfH DAY IN THE
CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, our youth are Winter Springs' most tmportant resource
and we must respond with positive programs, functional services, effective
"
legislation - concern, time and money, because we all recognize the vital
link between their status and the future well-being of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, I, TROY J. PILAND, MAYOR OF
THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, do hereby proclaim Thursday, May 21,
1981, YOUTH DAY in the City of Winter Springs, Florida;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, we urge the citizens of this community to
join together during Youth Day and raise the level of awareness of our
youth and their needs. Let us all dedicate ourselves to recognize the
many fine programs sponsored by our citizens and agencies of Winter
Springs on behalf of the healthy growth and well-being of our young
people.
BE .IT FURTHER RESOLVED, beginning with this local celebration
Youth Day in Winter Springs, let us take action to provide lasting benefits
for our children and youth of Winter Springs, Florida.

Seminole County is getting ready to celebrate its
third Youth Day. Sponsored by the Seminole Youth Planning
Council, Youth Day recognizes the many fine programs
sponsored by our citizens and agencies of Seminole County
on behalf of the heal thy growth and well being of our
young people.
Enclosed is a copy of last yeats Youth Day/Week
Proclamation. Instead of having activities spread
throughout a week, this year we are focusing our celebration
on one day, Thursday, May 21. We would be very proud
if you could once again officially proclaim Youth Day
in Seminole County.
