McLemore City Manager MEMORANDUM To: Patricia M. Terzi, Temporary Records Clerk From: Ronald W. McLemore, City Manager Date: September 1, 2005 Re: Position Reclassification Your position is being reclassified from a temporary position (Temporary Records Clerk) to a full time position (Imaging Clerk). This letter will outline the terms and conditions of your employment, but should not be construed as a contract of employment. Your duties will include, without limitation, the duties outlined in the attached revised job description. In the position of Imaging Clerk, you will receive all benefits offered by the City of Winter Springs for which you are eligible. The position of Imaging Clerk is expected to be needed through September 2006, specifically for the Records Management and Imaging Project. Please understand that your employment is subject to the discretion of the City and is considered employment at will. In other words, you are free to terminate your employment with the City at any time and the City retains the same right. The fact that the position of Imaging Clerk is expected to be needed until September 2006 does not mean that you are guaranteed employment through that time period and any language pertaining to the September 2006 period in this letter is not intended to create any expectancy on your part. Your initial rate of pay will be $12 per hour. You will be paid in equal bi-weekly installments. Your pay will be paid subject to all required deductions, including federal withholding, FICA, pension, etc. Pursuant to our mutual understanding, you will receive benefits normally offered by the City including, without limitation, health insurance, life insurance, long term disability insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, and/or pension benefits. Other terms and conditions of employment are set in the City's Personnel Manual, a copy of which you already received on your first day of employment. A copy of the Personnel Manual is also available at www.winterspringsfl.org. Please review the Personnel Manual carefully, as it sets forth the City's policies and procedures relative to employment issues that may directly affect you. Please understand that neither the Personnel Manual nor any part of it is a contract of employment. Further, please understand that the Personnel Manual cannot anticipate every circumstance or question about policy. The City reserves the right to revise, supplement, or rescind any policy or portion of the Personnel Manual at its sole and absolute a ~ ` r ~ discretion. The City expects that you will perform your duties conscientiously and with a sense of dedication and pride in your work. In return, you can expect to be treated professionally and fairly. If the foregoing is acceptable, please execute where indicated below and return to the City in person or via facsimile to the attention of Joanne Dalka, Information Services Director, at 407.327.6670 within five (5) days or it will be automatically withdrawn.
