HomeMy WebLinkAboutValencia Community College Letter of Agreement for Valencia Community College Paramedic Preceptors - 1998 06 05 LETTER OF AGREEMENT FOR VALENCIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE PARAMEDIC PRECEPTORS This agreement between THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS FIRE DEPARTMENT and VALENCIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE pertains to Paramedic students utilizing the clinical facilities of the Winter Springs Fire Department. . This agreement shall be renewed annually and covers the period from September 1 st through August 31 st. . This agreement covers only Winter SprinQs Fire Department employees in the Valencia Paramedic Program. . Ride time shall only be allowed when the Paramedic student is off duty from the Winter SprinQs Fire Department. . When participating in the clinical experiences with the Winter Springs Fire Department, the paramedic student shall be under the. direct supervision of a certified Seminole County paramedic when practicing patient care skills. . While under their supervision, the Winter Springs Fire Department paramedic shall be responsible for ensuring that the student performs all medical procedures in accordance with guidelines encompassed in the existing Seminole County Emergency Medical System Practice Parameters. . In addition, Valencia Paramedic Program shall maintain liability insurance to cover students. . Valencia Paramedic Program shall ensure that scheduled ride times do not conflict with scheduled ride times. from Seminole Community College Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician students.
