The City of Sanford is attempting to provide you with the best possible service at the lowest possible cost. To attract the competent personnel to provide you with this service, we are asking for your cooperation in .nforcing the following policy as set forth by the city Commission. 1. Garbage must be in watertight containers with covers not more than 30 gallons in size. A rusted out or uncovered container containing garbage WILL NOT be collected. 2. Trash must be in a container and should be no heavier than two men can lift into the truck. 3. Garbage and trash must be placed at the curb line or pavement line if no alley is utilized for pick-up. If an alley is used, then refuse should be placed at the all.ey line. 4. Limbs and trash of long lengths must be cut into sections of not more than 5 feet. These sections must then be tied and bundled and stacked neatly for easy pick-up. This bundle must be no larger or heavier than two men can lift. " 5. Unless prior approval has been given by City Officials, NO CITY EMPLOYEE is allowed to trespass on private property to collect refuse. 6. Refuse will not be collected when dogs or other animals hinder or endanger the employee. 7. Old furniture, appliances and other large and bulky items may be picked up with a special pick-up at extra cost. All single family residential accounts are entitled to one free special, per year.
