COUNCIL OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IN SEMINOLE COUNTY

Meeting 7:OOp.m. County Services Building, 1101 E. First Street, Sanford
The Council of Local Governments in Seminole County met at the County Services Building, Room
3024, 1101 East First Street, Sanford, Florida, on Wednesday, October 7, 2008.
1. Call to Order /Invocation/Pledge of Allegiance
The meeting was called to order by Deputy Mayor Gary Brender at 7:p.m. Deputy Mayor Brender
called for a brief moment of silence and all participated in the Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Roll Call
Members Present:
Mayor, John Bush, City of Winter Springs
Deputy Mayor, Gary Brender, City of Lake Mary
Commissioner Colleen Hufford, City of Casselberry
Commissioner Steve Wolfram, City of Altamonte Springs
Councilman Keith Britton, City of Oviedo
Commissioner Mike McLean, Seminole County
Board Member Diane Bauer, School Board
Members Absent:
Deputy Mayor, John Maingot, City of Longwood
Commissioner Jack Bridges, City of Sanford
Others Present:
Dino Lucarelli, Citizen

Matt Chester, SGTV, Program Director
3. Approval of Minutes: September 2, 2009
Motion: Commissioner Mike Mclean moved to approve the minutes
of September 2, 2009, seconded by Diane Bauer.
4. Treasurer's Report
Commissioner Steve Wolfram presented the Treasurer's Report. The ending balance is $510.97.
Motion: Commissioner Mclean moved to approve the Treasurer's
Report as presented.
5. Business
A. Driver Education Pilot Program Final Analysis Presentation Robin Butler, Seminole County
Traffic Engineering
Robin Butler presented the results of The Driver Education Pilot Program Results and handed out a
copy of the program. The program ran from 2007 to January 2009.
Discussion followed:
Mayor Bush stated that we should have driver training for all schools and that all cities should put up
money to participate, by population of the city. It was suggested that this could be a CALNO project. It
could cost 2M. There should be am immediate plan and a 3 year plan.
B. Update on SGTV Matt Chesler, Program Manager
Franchise renewed. 2 channel for use for education purposes. Channel 13 has aired SGTV live.
SGTV has a staff of three people. They have won 22 National awards. Won National Government
Award for video for Best kept Secret; Seminole County Museum.
