Dear Mayor Partyka:
The use of technology has never been more important to our professions than it
is today. We strive, especially in public education, to incorporate and ensure that
our students operate at a peak level of performance in these areas. As both an
elected official and a private citizen, I am certain that you join me in recognizing
that video technology can and should be used as a tool for communication to our
public.
Wonderful things happen on a daily basis in our schools. Student achievements,
program information, educational goals and the ability to constructively
communicate these issues, through SGTV, have become a priority for the
educational community in Seminole County.
Many of you will begin to negotiate your cable franchise agreements in the near
future. When you do, I ask that you remain sensitive to the needs of public
education by recognizing and supporting the dedication of an education only
television channel. Only by anticipating the needs of the future can we begin to
prepare for it.
Thank you, in advance, for your support,
Sincerely,
G1u~-
Sincerely,
