Dear Ms. Lormann:
Thank you for your letter of December 3 enclosing a
copy of a Resolution passed by the Council of Local Governments
in Seminole County concerning the transportation of coal to the
Stanton Energy Center at Orlando.
The transportation requirements for shipments of this
nature take into account many contingencies. We have noted
your comments in regard to non-peak traffic hours and routing
requirements and will certainly give them due consideration.
As you may know, we provide this coal transportation
service, generally by unit train, to many other points in
Florida in and around major cities. I believe you will find
that very little, if any, disruption of normal traffic patterns
exists and that many of the points, if not all, mentioned in
your Resolution have been considered.
I believe you will be very pleased with the service
that will be provided and will have no complaints. If, however,
a problem does arise, it would be appreciated if you would bring
it to our attention. I assure you that we will cooperate with
you toward a reasonable resolution of any problem.
Thank you for contacting me.
