On Wednesday, December 1, 1982, the member cities of the Council of

and requesting that the Seminole County Carmission undertake means to
resolve the differences in law enforcement services of patrol and
investigation and setting forth a time frame for cooperative 'WOrk
to dissolve the double taxation issue.
Included in each resolution passed was the following paragraph:
"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of urges CALm
to bring before the Seminole County legislative delegation that the
double taxation question also should be considered jointly with the;,
question of equit} a state wide basis and there is a need to resolve
the joint approach to both "equity" and to "real and substantial."
I believe that the members of CALNO have attempted a cooperative
approach and we eamestly solicit your support in assisting us to
resolve the double taxation issue. If you have any questions on
this subject, I will be pleased to discuss them with you or you may
wish to call Pete Knowles, City t-f_anager of Sanford, who was Chairman
of the Double Taxation Committee.
Sincerely,
