Dear Mayor Lorman:
I am writing to solicit your support for a Roundtable meeting
of CALNO officials and their representatives i.e., (City Managers
or key staff) for the purpose of sharing ideas on developing a
cooperative approach to the Annexation Process within Seminole
County.
The impact of Annexation on land-use patterns, sewer capacity
and the delivery of public services in a County witnessing record
population growth, suggests that developing coordinated Annexation
Procedures and Policies may be in the best interest of the County
and municipalities.
I would request that we discuss Annexation at the CALNO Meeting
on Wednesday, June 2, 1982 at 7:30 PM, Room 422 at the Seminole
County Courthouse, Sanford.
Representatives at the meeting might find it useful to bring copies
of applicable ordinances, city charter provisions and public notice
requirements pertaining to annexation.
Your consideration of this request is appreciated and I look forward
to your response.
Sincerely,
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
~~
Sandra Glenn
County Commissioner
