COUNCIL OF LOCAL GOVERillAENTS OF SEMINOLE COUNTY
January 10, 1980
The Council of Local Governments (CALNO) met at 7:30 p.m. at Longwood
City Hall.
Present: Commissioner Glenn, Seminole County
Commissioner Arnold, Winter Springs
Commissioner Keith, Sanford
Commissioner Christiansen, Casselberry
Mayor Lormann, Longwood
Absent: 1'rayor Sorensen, Lake Mary
Mayor Floyd, Altamonte Springs

1. Commissioner Glenn called the meeting to order and introduced the

Commission was that the State's Attorney should provide funding for a
prosecuting attorney if one is needed.
4. Commissioner Christiansen stated that the Casselberry City Commission
has tentatively agreed to the concept of municipalities hiring a prosecuting
attorney but wanted more details.
5. Commissioner Arnold stated that the Winter Springs Commission voted 3-2
in favor of the concept; however, more facts are needed. Commissioner Arnold
requested a draft of an inter-local agreement that could be taken to each
Commission for consideration.
6. Commissioner Glenn will provide each member with information on fees,
estimated amount of cases, etc.
7. Commissioner Uskert, Longwood, feels that the State's Attorney should
provide the staff necessary to prosecute all cases.
8. The members discussed a uniform code for "adult entertainment" within the
County. Commissioner Glenn stated that the County has established a moratorium
for issuance of occupational licenses for mini adult theatres, adult bookstores,
etc.

9. The members discussed the exorbitant cost of printing ballot cards for
the Datavote Voting System. Commissioner Glenn will check on the status of
local printing and report to the members.
10. Next meeting of CALNO will be Wednesday, February 6, 1980 at Sanford
City Hall.
11. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
