Pt( ce...„ Winter Springs, FL 32708 Dear The Honorable Bush, On behalf of the Children's Cabinet of Orange County, I would like to extend an invitation to you to join us on May 27, 2010 for the State Children and Youth Cabinet meeting. In partnership with the new Florida Hospital for Children and the UCF College of Health and Public Affairs, we are honored to have been chosen to host the meeting that will bring Florida's top chile rren's advocates and experts together for a day of education, awareness - raising and networking. The State Cabinet meets monthly at venues around the state to ensure that Florida's public policy for children and youth promotes integrated and holistic services and programming so that all children in Florida grow up safe, healthy, educated and prepared to meet their full potential Similarly, the Children's Cabinet of Orange County is a collaborative effort working to improve outcomes for children and families by developing coordinated service delivery systems while actively encouraging advocacy and raising awareness. The May 27 meeting will be held at the Florida Hospital Ginsburg Tower Creation Conference Room, 601 East Rollins Street, Orlando, FL 32803. The day will begin at 8:30 am with a one hour class geared toward UCF College of Health and Public Affairs students to introduce them to the history and landscape of children's services in Orange County. At 10:00 am, Roy Miller, President of the Children's Campaign, and Luann Panacek, Chief Executive Officer of the Children's Board of Hillsborough County will discuss "Children's Services: Challenges and Opportunities ". At 11:15 am, please join other local and state dignitaries to tour the new Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children. It will then be our pleasure to provide lunch following the tour from 11:30 am until 12:45 pm, followed by the State Children and Youth Cabinet meeting from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Parking is free at the McRae parking garage which is across the street from the conference center. Please let us know if you will join us for this one -time event.
