500) Parks Maps Update
Mr. Dunigan opened the item by introducing Mr. Jeff Standford, the City’s Senior GIS Analyst,
who gave an overview and demonstration of the new GIS parks map tool. It shows each park’s
location within the city and provides a breakdown of the amenities available at each park. The
tool will be located on the city’s webpage. Suggestions on additional filters were given such as
adding one for labeled handicap spots and bike rake locations. Additional clarifying questions
were asked on the search feature and if the mapping could be used for distance with biking,
walking, and driving. Staff responded that the currently available version cannot track distance
is more of an informational tool.
Further discussion continued with suggestions for adding hours of operation, updated
pictures within the parks at ground level and whether the parks are night lite and handicapped
accessible. The city relayed that they are currently working on adding the ability to make

Additionally, staff took note of the suggestions given and thanked the members for their input
