I recently attended a meeting with Brian Dunigan, Holly Queen and Kevin Maddox to discuss the Oak Forest Wall's finances and plans for the ongoing maintenance of our wall. During these discussions, it was mentioned there was an opening on the Oak Forest Wall Beautification Advisory Committee. Given my past history with the creation of this wall I would like an opportunity to join back on and see if I could add some value to the committee. Briefly state any specialized knowledge or prior experience you have that would be useful in assisting the board or committee in accomplishing its purpose. I moved to Oak Forest in August 1988. From 1997 - 2000, I served as President and City Liason for The Oak Forest HOA. During this timespan, I worked closely with Ron McLemore, City Manager, Dave McLeod, City Commissioner, and Michael Blake, City Commissioner to help create the Ad Valorem Taxing District to fund the capital investment to build our wall and set up the annual assessment to fund the maintenance and beautification of the wall. This experience provides a unique knowledge and understanding about this wall. Briefly state any experience you have in serving on any governmental board or committee. I haven't served on a government board but I have worked in concert with City Commissioners and the City Manager for over 3 years. (See above) Prior to being a Realtor, I was a District Manager with Pizza Hut for 15 of my 21 years with that company and was the leader 17 restaurants, over 50 managers and over 500 employees when I left.
