In recent Public Input to this Commission I expressed serious concerns about two issues facing the City: potable water and concerns about its quality, both of which concerned the City's flawed decision last year (in my opinion) to annex the County's EPA Superfund Site into the City's north-west area, which was proposed by Commissioner Cade Resnick, and is now a part of his District. Tonight's First Reading, in its Third Whereas, on page 334, contains the following: "EPA has determined that the responsible party is Raytheon Technologies. Thus the city bears no responsibility for any contamination on the property for the remediation there of." How convenient! This cite is also laced with highly toxic chemicals like those recently exposed in Lake Mary, Sanford, and elsewhere in the County in 2023. In March I pleaded with this Commission to contact Seminole County and join the County's new Law Suit against the polluters involved elsewhere in the County, because these same polluters are responsible for Winter Springs EPA Superfund Site at 17/92 and Shepard Road. These were General Dynamics and Siemens, while Raytheon was but one of many subcontractors involved. So once again I ask this Commission to urgently join Seminole County's law suit involving pollution elsewhere in the County's acquifers. Hon. Robert S. Miller, LtCol, USAF (Retired) 679 Silvercreek Drive Winter Springs, FL 32708
