FUNDING SOURCE All of the events and programs listed are funded through budgeted resources as well as sponsorships. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the City Commission approve the 2025 City of Winter Springs Community Events Calendar. Additionally, authorization for the City Manager and City Attorney is requested to prepare and execute any and all applicable contract documents consistent with this agenda item. 86 CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS 2025 CITY EVENTS & PROGRAMS 47th Central Florida Scottish Highland Games January 18-19, 8 am - 5 pm Central Winds Park Join us for the 47th annual Central Florida Scottish Highland Games. For more information visit www.flascot.com 26th Annual Father Daughter Dance February 7 & 8, 6 pm - 8 pm Registration opens January 13 at 8 am Winter Springs Senior Center Join us for our annual Father-Daughter Dance! Enjoy a fun-filled night of dancing, music, a live DJ, a free photo, refreshments, and prizes! Extra date added due to popularity. Movie In The Park Friday, March 7 (Movie begins at sunset) Torcaso Park Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket and enjoy a family movie in the park. Arbor Day Tree Giveaway Online registration begins February 10 at 8 am and closes March 7, at 5 pm (4 Weeks) Embrace Arbor Day by planting a tree! Winter Springs Residents can register online to receive a complimentary tree delivered to their home just in time for the Arbor Day celebration. Limit one tree per household. Campers will engage in activities that encourage teamwork, creativity, and leadership skills. All fees due upon registration. WSPD Community Youth Outreach (4 Weeks) June and July Dates TBD Torcaso Park The Winter Springs Police Department is hosting the Community Youth Outreach program with the aim of building stronger relationships through positive experiences and interaction with local law enforcement! Children can learn, laugh, and play with WSPD’s Community Relations. WSPD National Night Out 2025 Tuesday, October 7, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Torcaso Park Join us for National Night Out with the WSPD! Come see specialty vehicles and meet local officers. This event fosters partnerships between the police and community, enhancing relationships and promoting a sense of unity. Veterans Day Tribute Tuesday, November 11, 6pm - 7pm Veterans Memorial at Town Center Join the City of Winter Springs as we honor our nation’s heroes. This event offers a time to honor our 2025 Hometown Hero and remember veterans and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 43rd Annual Winter Wonderland Presented by AdventHealth Saturday, December 6, 4 pm - 8 pm Winter Springs Town Center It’s time for joy and celebration! Come and enjoy the holiday festivities at Winter Wonderland this season. Experience an evening with one of the longest-running traditions in our city: the 43rd annual Holiday Parade featuring local talent and businesses, and the annual Christmas tree lighting. Enjoy local entertainment and a visit from Santa Claus! Light Up Central Winds! Drive-Thru Dates December 14-19 Walk-Thru Date December 20 Central Winds Park Come on down to Central Winds Park and cruise through the holiday light tunnels, where you can check out all the beautiful decorative displays. You can even meet Santa and immerse yourself in a winter wonderland on select walk-through nights. It’s going to be an amazing experience for the whole family! WSPD Santa’s City Run December 8 - 12 from 5pm - 8pm Santa is coming to town! Every year, Santa visits Winter Springs for one week and is escorted each night around the city by the Winter Springs Police Department to spread candy and joy to the children and families who come outside to wave to him. On the big night, be sure to listen for police sirens! WSPD Ghoulishly Good Times Friday, October 17 (Movie begins at sunset) Torcaso Park Winter Springs Police Department is providing treats and popcorn for everyone to enjoy during a family-safe movie. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy a family movie in the park. Join us for the 27th annual Celebration of Freedom, filled with live entertainment, a free kids’ area, fantastic vendors, and a breathtaking fireworks finale!
