HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024 10 28 Consent 303 - Purchase of Emergency Eqipment for Police VehiclesCONSENT AGENDA ITEM 303 CITY COMMISSION AGENDA | OCTOBER 28, 2024 REGULAR MEETING TITLE Purchase of Emergency Equipment for Police Vehicles SUMMARY During the October 14, 2024, Commission meeting, the Commission approved the purchase of eleven police fleet vehicles. These vehicles are to replace high mileage and mechanically unsound vehicles within our current fleet. That specific agenda item only had the request to purchase the vehicles and had the caption that additional emergency equipment would be forthcoming. The police department requests Lights ‘N More Installations to purchase and install emergency equipment using the City of Sanford, Florida purchase and installation contract IRFQ 21/22-317 Emergency Lights and Accessories, renewed 06/17/2024. The contracted price is not to exceed $147,931.71. FUNDING SOURCE The founding source for this equipment comes from approved budgeted FY25 funds, using G/L Account 001-21-2100-560641.
