TITLE
Police Life Saving Award Presented to K9 Officer J. Hilerio
SUMMARY
The police department would like to recognize and honor K9 Officer Jesus Hilerio for
his life-saving actions on May 8, 2023.
K9 Officer Hilerio responded to an unresponsive unconscious male turning blue from
lack of oxygen. Upon K9 Officer Hilerio's' arrival, he administered Naloxone and
conducted CPR as the patient was not breathing. After several sets of CPR, K9 Officer
Hilerio noticed signs of life returning to the patient. K9 Officer Hilerio maintained
measures until the arrival of SCFD.
Minutes later, the patient stood and walked around as if nothing had happened. If it
was not for the actions of K9 Officer Hilerio, this could have had a very different
outcome. Therefore I would like to present K9 Officer Hilerio with a life-saving award
for his quick response and actions on May 8, 2023.
