TITLE
Promotion Ceremony- Lieutenant Doug Seely, Sergeant Bill Mayhugh,
Sergeant Aaron Wilkins, Officer Kristen Herwick, and Officer Matt Scovel.
SUMMARY
For over thirty-one years, Lt. Seely has been serving the community of Winter Springs.
He has worked in every division the agency has and will now be promoted to the rank
of Captain. He will be assigned to our Operations Bureau, overseeing patrol, traffic, K9,
community relations, volunteers, COPS, and the Chaplain program.
For over twenty-one years, Sgt. Mayhugh has been serving the community of Winter
Springs. Sgt. Mayhugh has a vast experience in our Operations Bureau, where he
supervised a patrol shift and oversaw our K9 division, training, accreditation unit,
community relations unit, and volunteer program. Upon his promotion to the rank of
Lieutenant, He will be assigned as a Watch Commander in the Patrol Division.
For over nine years, Sgt. Wilkins has been serving our community of Winter Springs.
Sgt. Wilkins has been in a supervisory role for the last five years. He has commanded
a patrol shift and our street crimes unit. Upon his promotion to Lieutenant, he will be
assigned as the Lieutenant in our Criminal Investigations Bureau.
For seventeen years, Officer Herwick has been serving our community.
Officer Herwick has established herself as a well respected officer,
investigator and trainer. Upon her promotion she will be assigned to the
Operations Bureau.
For seventeen years, Officer Scovel has been serving our community. Officer
Scovel has established himself as a well rounded investigator, trainer, and
mentor for this agency. Upon his promotion he will be assigned to the
Investigation Bureau.
All our newly promoted officers bring vast knowledge and experience to the streets of
Winter Springs. They are all well respected and will serve with the utmost dignity,
dedication and respect. We wish all the best of luck in their new positions.
