HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019 12 09 Consent 301 - 2020 City of Winter Springs Community Events Calendar CONSENT AGENDA ITEM 301 1959 CITY COMMISSION AGENDA I DECEMBER 9, 2019 1 REGULAR MEETING TITLE 2020 City of Winter Springs Community Events Calendar SUMMARY The City hosts four main seasonal events, Explore Outdoors in the spring, Celebration of Freedom in the summer, Hometown Harvest in the fall, and Winter Wonderland in the Winter. Along with these special events, the City hosts recreation programs, summer camps, community outreach programs, and more. We have consolidated all City departments' events and programs to be included in the attached calendar to represent City of Winter Springs events and programs. Sponsorships, donations and Vendor fees cover 75% of the costs of these events & programs. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the City Commission review and accept the City of Winter Springs 2020 Calendar of Events. Veterans Day Tribute November 11 1 6PM. - 7PM Veterans Memorial at Town Center Pleasejoin the Rotary Club of Winter Springs and the City of Winter Springs as we celebrate and honor our nation's heroes.This event offers a time to honor our 2020 Hometown Hero and remember veterans and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Winter Wonderland December 5 14PM - 8PM Winter Springs Town Center Tis'the season for joy and celebration! Stop by and enjoy the festivities this holiday season at Winter Wonderland presented by AdventHealth! Experience an evening with one of the longest-running traditions in our city,the 39th annual Holiday Parade featuring local talent and businesses and the 16th annual Christmas tree Lighting!
