Pursuant to Section 106.07(8) (b), Florida Statutes,you are subject to a fine of$50 per day for the first 3 days late and, thereafter, $500 per day for each late day; however, the fine may not exceed 25% of the total receipts or expenditures, whichever is greater, for the period covered by the late report. The records reflect that this report was received in our office on Thursday,October 13,2022; therefore, you are hereby assessed a fine of$100.00. Said fine must be made payable to the City of Winter Springs and paid to this office within 20 days of receipt of this notice, unless appeal is made to the Florida Elections Commission. Please note that, as a candidate, the fine is not an allowable campaign expenditure and must be paid from personal funds. Section 106.07(8)(c), Florida Statutes, provides that you may appeal or dispute the assessed fine by submitting a notice of appeal in writing to the Florida Elections Commission within 20 days of the date of receipt of the notice of payment due, setting out with specificity the unusual circumstances surrounding the failure to file on the designated due date, which may be accompanied by any evidence supporting the claim. Failure to timely file such a notice constitutes a waiver of such entitlement. If a hearing before the commission is desired, such a hearing request must be included in the notice of appeal. If no request for a hearing is included, the commission's determination shall be based on the notice and any supporting evidence. If a separate request for a hearing is included in the notice, a hearing shall be provided. Your request for an appeal or hearing should be sent to the Florida Elections Commission, 107 W.
