TITLE
Appointment Opportunities for City Boards and Committees
SUMMARY
The City Clerk Department wishes to inform the City Commission of the
following vacancies:
Per Section 2-41(e) of the City Code, "if any commissioner fails to appoint a
member within thirty(30) days after a vacancy occurs or a term expires, that
seat shall be filled by a majority vote of the commission."
CURRENT VACANCIES OPEN TO THE FULL COMMISSION:
• Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee - Vacancy arose 06/12/2020
after resignation (2 applications on file - Mashburn and Berns-Cadle)
Seat Three - Open to Full Commission
Term Expires: February 1, 2021
• Code Enforcement Board(Vacancy arose 10/13/2020 after appointee
declined)
Seat Four - Open to Full Commission
Term Expires:July 2022 OTHER VACANCIES (Not existing thirty (30)
days):
• Planning and Zoning Board(Vacancy arose 11/09/2020 after
resignation)
Seat Five - Commissioner Rob Elliott
Term Expires:July 2024
• Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification District Advisory
CommitteeT (Vacancy arose 11/05/2020 after resignation)

• Youth Council- New Board- Eight(8) seats open -five (5) applications
on file forwarded to Mayor& Commissioners

Veterans and Veteran Families Advisory Committee - New Committee, all
Commissioners have an appointment opportunity. One application received
to date by City Clerk's Office.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Commission make any appointments they deem
pertinent'.
