2019 Potable and Reclaimed Water Use
SUMMARY
The purpose of this agenda item is to provide the City Commission with data on
potable and reclaimed water use for calendar year 2019.
Potable Water:
In 2019, the City distributed 1,421,298,000 gallons of potable water, which is 6.8%
increase in distribution from 2018. We received 71 inches of rainfall in 2019, which
was 8 inches higher than 2018. The annual water use in 2019 was 9% below the St.
Johns River Water Management District Consumptive Use Permit allowance of
1,562,200,000 gallons.

Reclaimed Water:
Production of reclaimed water for the 2019 calendar year totaled 780,373,000
gallons,which is an increase of2%from 2018. Of this total,389,396,000 gallons were
distributed for the purpose of commercial and residential irrigation, which is an
increase of 37% from 2018. Also, 190,980,000 gallons were disposed of at the
percolation ponds and/or sprayfields, which is a decrease in disposal of 43% from
2018.
