Appointment Opportunities for City Boards and Committees
SUMMARY
The City Clerk Department wishes to inform the City Commission of the
following vacancies:
Per Section 2-41(e) of the City Code, "if any commissioner fails to appoint a
member within thirty(30) days after a vacancy occurs or a term expires, that
seat shall be filled by a majority vote of the commission."
CURRENT VACANCIES:
• Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee
o Seat Five Appointment - Term expires February 1, 2025 (OPEN TO
FULL COMMISSION)
• Veterans and Veteran Families Advisory Committee
o At-Large Appointment
UPCOMING VACANCIES:
• Code Enforcement Board - Terms Expire July 31, 2022
• Seat One Appointment: Matthew Criswell - met term-limit, ineligible
for reappointment
• Seat Five Appointment: Michael Burns
• Planning and Zoning Board - Terms Expire July 31, 2022
o Seat Four Appointment: Bart Phillips - met term-limit, ineligible for
reappointment
• Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification District Advisory Committee
- Terms Expire July 31, 2022
o Seat Five Appointment: Sandy Scholl
• Oak Forest Wall and Beautification District Advisory Committee -
Terms Expire August 31, 2022
• Seat Two Appointment: Dan Finley
• Seat Four Appointment: Ashley Buley
RECOMMENDATION
1
Staff recommends the City Commission make any appointments they deem
pertinent.
