HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022 02 07 Item 1 - Discussion - Winter Springs Marketplace Community Workshop • DISCUSSION ITEMS ITEM 1 ,n m=ared CITY COMMISSION AGENDA I FEBRUARY 7, 2022 WORKSHOP 1959 TITLE Winter Springs Marketplace Community Workshop SUMMARY Winter Springs Marketplace, the subject property(approximately±8.278 gross acres in size) is pentagonal in shape, generally bounded to the north by State Road 434, to the east by Tuskawilla Road, to the south by a vacant property and to the west by a residential community. The parcel is being developed in multiple phases, in a cohesive design to promote a development supportive to the City by bringing many retail uses to one single site.The development includes; mass grading of the entire site, master stormwater and utilities infrastructure, perimeter landscaping, streetscaping, and a wall located on eastern side of the property boundary. The entire site is master planned and includes five (5) buildings all of which will consist of faux second stories. A CUP (Conditional Use) and Aesthetic review for Building C (a proposed bank) are to be presented to the City Commission at a later date. Building A: Dental I Medical Office Building B: Chipotle w/ drive-through window Building C: Bank(Proposed and not approved) Originally approved as a fast food restaurant Building D: Crunch Fitness Building E: Dollar Tree Building F:Aldi I Retail The total gross area for all proposed buildings is approximately 59,000 SF. The Aesthetic Plan Review(Partial, excluding Building C), certain Waivers, Final Engineering Review, Removal of Specimen Trees, and Development Agreement were held before the City Commission February 22, 2021. Site work and construction began Spring 2021. The project is in its final phases and will be scheduled for partial site acceptance before the City Commission on February 14th, 2022. The purpose of this Community Workshop is to discuss the enchanced landscaping along Roberts Family Lane and traffic patterns, in regards to the adjacentJesup's Reserve townhomes.
