Ms. Mariah Quinn, Code Enforcement Specialist, Winter Springs Police Department introduced the case, offered testimony on the procedures of notice and the violation, and showed photos from the “Presentation.” Ms. Quinn recommended a compliance date of April 21, 2022 and a two- hundred and fifty dollar ($250) per day fine if this was not met. Attorney Nix asked about the notice included in the packet and noted that it did not seem to list sections of the Code in violation. Discussion followed with the Board and Attorney Nix. Ms. Terri Sanchez, Code Enforcement Specialist, Winter Springs Police Department introduced the case, offered testimony on the procedures of notice and the violation, and showed photos from the “Presentation.” Ms. Sanchez recommended a compliance date of February 28, 2022 and a two-hundred and fifty dollar ($250) per day fine if this was not met. Brief discussion followed with the Board asking about contracts and informing the respondent of the proper procedure to obtain a permit. “BASED ON THE TESTIMONY AND THE EVIDENCE PRESENTED IN FRONT OF THE BOARD THIS EVENING I MOVE TO FIND THE RESPONDENT IN VIOLATION OF THE CITY CODE IN RELATION TO HAVING A PERMIT REQUIRED, BUILDING CODE 105.1, IN THAT A ROOF WAS INSTALLED WITHOUT A BUILDING PERMIT AND ORDER THAT REPSPONDENT BE GIVEN UNTIL APRIL 21, 2022 TO CORRECT THE VIOLATION BY APPLYING FOR A PERMIT AND GETTING THIS ISSUE RESOLVED.
