Roll Call: Chairperson Kok Wan Mah, present Vice-Chairperson Michael Ferrante, present Board Member Bart Phillips, absent Board Member Mark Gordon, present Board Member Kenneth Spalthoff, present Assistant City Attorney Kristin Eick, present City Clerk Christian Gowan, present A moment of silence was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. MOTION BY VICE-CHAIRPERSON FERRANTE. SECONDED BY COMMITTEE MEMBER SPALTHOFF. DISCUSSION. VOTE: GORDON (AYE); SPALTHOFF (AYE); FERRANTE (AYE); MAH (AYE) MOTION CARRIED 4-0. PUBLIC HEARINGS AGENDA 400) Review of Ordinance 2021-09 amending Section 20-452 of the City Code related to Home Occupations or Home Offices to comply with recent legislation adopted by the Florida legislature related to Home- Based Businesses; making conforming amendments to the City Code; providing for the repeal of prior inconsistent ordinances and resolutions; incorporation into the code; severability and an effective date. Ms. Marla Molina, Senior City Planner, Community Development Department introduced the Code amendment Ordinance related to Home-based offices or business. Comments were made regarding how much of the City code was been amended and what type of home-based business were now allowed within the City. Chairperson Mah opened the Public Hearing for Item 400. No one spoke Chairperson Mah closed the Public Input for Item 400.
