attendance at this Meeting, and may participate in discussions.

CALL TO ORDER
Vice-Chairperson Ellen Paul called to order the Wednesday, October 20, 2021
Regular Meeting of the Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification District Advisory
Committee at 5:15 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Municipal Building
(City Hall, 1126 East State Road 434, Winter Springs, Florida 32708).

Ms. Holley Queen, Assistant Finance Director, Finance Department addressed
a few questions from the last meeting in relation to the Flags poles. Questions
ensued regarding irrigation repairs within the budget. Mr. Kevin Maddox,
Landscape Manager, Urban Beautification Division, IT & Administrative
Services Department clarified where the irrigation lines are located in the
median and further clarified why the irrigation lines keep getting damaged.
Suggestions and comments were given about looking into other types of
irrigation systems. Further questions ensued regards to monthly recurring
code, pressure washing, increased rates for utilities and Duke Energy.
Committee Member Arok informed Staff of some street lights that were not
working and solar powered lighting for the flag poles was additionally
suggested.

501) General Discussion on Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification District
Projects
Mr. Maddox informed the committee of the tree removal (Laurel Oaks) that
happened last year and that the trees will be replaced with large Live Oaks
along with a median rejuvenation, from the drought. Mr. Maddox also relayed
the resurfacing of the fountain basins will be moving forward in December.
Further discussion ensued on street light cleaning, tree maintenance and
Brightveiws current performance.
