WHEREAS, Our nation's strength derives from the rich diversity of its people and for generations immigrants have come from all
over the world to settle in the United States and contribute to our society, culture, and economy; and
'WHEREA Immigrants and descendants of immigrants can be found in every sector of American life, growing businesses and the
economy, innovating and sharing creativity, fighting for our freedoms and more; and
Since 2014, Immigrant Heritage Month, observed in June, has given Americans of every background, race, and creed and
opportunity to explore their own heritage and to celebrate the diversity that forms the unique story of America; and
IIHERF AS, Immigrants have been tireless leaders not only in securing their own rights and access to equal opportunity, but have
also campaigned to create a fairer and more just society for all Americans; and

� HERFAl Winter Springs is home to many immigrants who influence our social, cultural, and economic atmosphere, fundamentally
enriching the extraordinary character of our city, state, and nation; and
WHEREAS, For their many varied contributions, immigrants are celebrated in the City of Winter Springs.
