As often happens on projects Duke “lost” the project and there was no plan on getting the necessary power to the new pump station. Prime was able to work with the owner and engineer to procure a temporary ease- ment to access the old conduit and reuse the old conduit to install new power cable at the existing drop to avoid having to use a generator to power the new station. Not only did this save the county significant additional cost, but the power Duke was promising for the station is still not installed over 2 years later.
