1. Why do you wish to serve on the Winter Springs Youth Council? What do you hope to gain by this
experience?
I wish to be a part of the Winter Springs Youth Council because I want to serve my community and its
youth. I also want to gain more knowledge about City Government and the City of Winter Springs itself.
2. What are the most important issues to you, your friends, and your family concerning our community?
The most important issue to me would be getting more of my peers involved in the city government and
the governing process. The most important issue to my friends and family would be safety, as a safe
community encourages people to be more physically active.
3. What characteristics or skills do you possess that make you a great representative?
The characteristics that make a great representative are I am good public speaker,
problem solver, and critical thinker.
4. Describe past experiences that have prepared you for this leadership role.
Last year I participated in the freshman (2023) class council. This has helped prepare me for this
leadership role because it has given me some experience in having an active role in a community
with my peers.
I have recently been invited to be a part of the leadership program at Oviedo High. The
leadership program is an invitation only course which helps build and strengthen leaders in the
school.
I also volunteered at the Tremont Independent Living Community, where I organized activities
and spent time with Elders of our community.
