Code Officer Guerra introduced the case and testified, "On June 25, 2020 1 received a complaint regarding this resident having a large amount of junk and debris in the driveway, also that there was a large truck parked and the grass was high on the property. When I did go to the residence to check for the violation Mr. Grannan came out to my truck to speak to me. I told him that we received another complaint and this is an ongoing thing. We get a complaint, we notice him, he cleans it up, and then it goes right back to the way it was. Mr. Grannan advised he would clean it up. He needed some more time and he and his wife were going through some hardships financially at this time. He has done better in the past. A few years ago he had another location for his items. Now he is going backwards and everything is being stored at the house again. On June 26, 2020 1 sent Notice of Code Violation to the owners of the property. On July 9, 2020 the Notice of Code Violation was received. On August 10, 2020 1 checked the property. The truck has been removed and the grass has been cut in the back.
