If by chance we end up not having a quorum [at the last minute] for March 19 meeting, we can proceed as
indicated in Anthony's previous coorespondence (below).
If we have substantial lead time [i.e. one week or more] that their will not be a quorum, then we will simply cancel
the meeting, and readvertise for April 2.
For now we will assume the Mr Heatwold's wife is on her way to a speedy recovery and we can meet as planned
on March 19.

Yes. While never legally tested in Florida, the board can postpone the agenda items to a date certain. The
presumption is that anyone interested in the matter would be in attendance for the agenda and that they would be
present to hear that the matter has been continued.
Relevant to your question regarding a lack of quorum, under Robert's Rules of Order, if a quorum is not present
following the appointed hour of the meeting, the Chairman may adjourn the meeting until the next day, or by
unanimous agreement, those present may select another hour and day for the meeting. The names of those
present and their decision shall be recorded in the minutes, stating that a quorum was not present and the time
set for another meeting in which the items on the agenda will be considered.

In other words, the Chairman should open the meeting and publicly announce that a quorum does not exist to
conduct business, and publicly announce the date, time, and place in which the listed agenda items will be
considered. You should post the new meeting time on the web and bulletin board.

Is there a way to preserve the advertising if there is not a quorum? We may not have a quorum for the P&Z/LPA
Meeting on Wednesday night...
