But"ri:RwowrH Alfencey general State of Florida July 25, 2002 Mr. Harold B. Scott 374 Twelve oaks Drive Winter Springs, Florida 32708 Dear Mr. Scott: RECEIVE® J U L 3 0 2002 CITY OF VILATER SPRINGS Cit cc : M a'jbL ,► ;, ,;, The purpose of this letter is to update the status of your public records request. Enclosed is correspondence 1' received from Mr. Anthony Garganese, City Attorney. Mr. Garganese also enclosed a copy of an appraisal. At this point, it does not appear that further mediation would be helpful. As you know, the Public Records Law requires that an agency provide access to nonexempt documents but it does not require an agency to answer questions or explain its actions. Thus, the city would not be required under the Public Records Law to respond to your allegation that the city has failed to comply with legal requirements relating to appraisals. All the Public Records Law requires is that the city forward copies of documents which are responsive to public records requests. Z hope this information is helpful. S. cerely, Patricia R.
